Retail Marketing Manager

Job summary

Lead local CBP Process and Retail Category Development process.

Develop RE strategies for country, and develop shopper solutions based on robust RE, shopper and customer insight. Synchronize consumer strategies and the RE’s shopper strategies to increase demand and trade support for our profitable growth, ensuring we get our products into the store, off the shelf, and into the home of our consumers cost effectively and more efficiently that the competition.

Responsible for Marketing activation for the country and have the touch point expertise to implement: Brand activation and Category demand creation; the activity grid and new product Go to Market/ launch for subsidiary that is developed by Cluster Retail Marketing.


Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  1. Build knowledge on Retail Environment, Customer and Shopper through Insights
  2. Develop RE strategy and RE’s prioritization. Identify and prioritize RE/Customer Growth Initiatives including shopper programs. Work with Customer Marketing in the Hub to identify category, brand strategies and tactics by retail environment, agreeing annual grid, volumes and budget by category and shopper activations
  3. Influence commercial agenda to maximize growth in the priority RE’s
  4. Identify emerging shopper trends and new RE’s
  5. Manage the GTN investment: Develop a RE investment strategy which prioritizes the KPI’s goals, pays for performance, targets investment to consumer activities, minimizes erosion of selling prices, and gives good return on investment
  6. Lead the Retail Category Development process in the organization and prioritization of services. Develop a Category Management Strategy and activity plan which focuses resources behind priority categories and customer assessment
  7. Active support in Customer engagement. Co-lead with the Customer Development Leader the Joint Business plan matrix and develop the strategies to have a mutual sustainable growth with our business partners
  8.  Develop and annually review retail GTM Strategy, consider the shopper trends, Firm coverage, Key competitors’ activities
  9. Ensure excellence on the Marketing activation (Touch point prioritization to implement: Brand activation and Category demand creation; the activity grid and new product Go to Market for the subsidiary that is developed by Consumer Marketing in the Hub


Range of qualifications

Level of education: College , preferably master

Years of experience : 10 -12 years

Functional Experience and Technical Skills:

Experience in Consumer Marketing and Consumer Development (ideally)

Must be very resulted oriented and strategic driven and have a clear idea of the expertise, tools and processes necessary to meet the consumer, shopper and customer needs

Able to support the existing RE’s and customers and anticipates trends on the market overall, RE’s and shopper

Redesign and transform the processes and display the speed/ agility of response to meet the needs of rapidly developing trade/shopper in an increasingly competitive environment and lead the commercial process

Experience in transform insight into action, develop strategies and action plans to capture the opportunities to grow business in each RE and customer/retail.
